Part of the problem the last two years has been, I think, the Yankees running him out there when he’s obviously physically compromised. The offense has been so bad that I almost get it, but he’s a liability when he’s playing hurt, it helps nothing. Maybe having this depth gives them the freedom to give him more rehab starts or longer IL stints and then we can see good Stanton when he is healthy.
