The better question about Sevy's salary, is, how much money do the A's have to keep on their books to stay above the salary floor to keep getting their revenue sharing money?
I would think that TJ Rumfield and a Carlos Lagrange will be part of any deal for Suarez. Now, what about getting Zac Gallen included in the deal, and expand it?
I think almost every club is going to be asking about Carlos Lagrange or Elmer Rodriguez-Cruz, especially if Rodriguez-Cruz finally gets promoted to AA by then. Rodriguez-Cruz currently leads the SAL in Ks and like 3rd in ERA.
My opinion, Spencer Jones goes only in a big deal. Outside of getting deGrom, I'm not trading Schlittler this season. Ask me again in the off season.
Milwaukee would want pitching, pitching, and pitching. They have lots of outfielders, but they still might demand Spencer Jones in any deal. But I'm not overpaying for Turang, whose biggest offensive skill is speed. Speed is something this analytical Department absolutely HATES.
My big reliever question is: Will Clayton Beeter get a shot in the bullpen before the deadline to see if he is an arm for them before they make any deals?
