EJ, I gotta disagree with you that there isn't a ton of talent down on the farm. They have more talent IMHO than TOR, BOS, or BAL. I'm sticking to the AL East and those clubs as the Yankees share at least AA & AAA with them. Yes those other clubs may have higher Tier 1 prospects, but they don't have really anything else. I've watched enough affiliate games the last 3 seasons that make it OK for me to make this comment. But my biggest issue is the garbage coaching that is in the farm system. I have a saying about this, "The Yankees are 38th in development - Yes, I know there are only 30 teams, but that should tell you how bad I think the coaching is".

As for Spencer Jones, there were reports that the coaches in AA, decided to change Jones's swing after Spring Training. Huh? After the Spring he just had! But if you really look deeper, if you take away the offense columns of the SB & SO, you see virtually everything has gotten better or stayed the same. Higher SLG%, same exact OBP. 3 less hits with 2 more ABs, so 8 points less in BA.

But Jones is not the only hitter struggling in their system with the strikeout, and that tells me they really don't care unless the K Rate issue serves their purposes. So until they want to fix that issue, I don't know what to tell you.

As far as the pitching in the farm goes, I'm just disgusted. I literally have no words except fire everyone, from Sam Briend down. They are OK with a SP getting his brains best in, or completely struggling snd having nothing, but they leave these guys in anyway, as long as they get their game pitches in. The Triple-A Starters have been bad more times than not since Briend and his guys took over. In fact guys pitch better in the Bronx than they do in SWB. Brito, Gil, Vasquez, Nelson, just to name some that pop into my head. It looked like to me they 'fixed' Warren's delivery this year and he stunk. They 'fixed' Deivi Garcia's delivery, and he never recovered, but no one loses their job over these coaching things. It's almost like the coaches are always right and it's all the player's failt. They let Edgar Barclay pitch for over a year before they tried to fix him. Really? And I won't touch the bullpen issues throughout the entire organization, including the Bronx.
